Spiritual Survival Solutions

Are you in high spirits lately? If yes, you may skip this one. Life is difficult. That is even the first sentence of Mr. Peck’s book, The Road Less Traveled. In life, we experience ups and downs. A roller coaster ride indeed!

There are numerous songs written about it. Which one? When we are down and out. Remember the song with lyrics that goes… when you’re down and troubled. And you need some loving care. And nothing, nothing is going right. Close your eyes and think of me. And soon I will be there. To brighten up even your darkest night.

You just call out my name. Because like its title-- You’ve got a friend.  A friend of mine told me once, you know all the inspiring songs you hear. They are actually inspirations from God. So, you keep that in mind. And, the next time you listen to that song, feel in your heart that God is your Friend.

A quite inspiring, compelling poem written by Mr. Edgar A. Guest with the title, “Don't Quit” goes… When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, when the road you're trudging seems all uphill, when the funds are low and the debts are high, and you want to smile but you have to sigh, when care is pressing you down a bit - rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns. As everyone of us sometimes learns. And many a fellow turns about when he might have won had he stuck it out. Don't give up though the pace seems slow - you may succeed with another blow. Often the goal is nearer than it seems to a faint and faltering man;

Often the struggler has given up when he might have captured the victor's cup;

and he learned too late when the night came down, how close he was to the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out - the silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and when you never can tell how close you are, it may be near when it seems afar; so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit - it's when things seem worst, you must not quit.

In the Bible, prophet Elijah was so downtrodden that he was about to give up then God just instructed him to have rest and to have some food. When he woke up, he was refreshed and energized. Again, he was ready to take on the challenge to accomplish his mission.

See? What a good nap and snack could do? Even God on the seventh day rested. Solutions to spiritual problems are all can be found in the best survival’s guide ever written. The Holy Bible.

Personally, I hate power outages. They keep me from my work. Especially, when I have to send an email to the head office. I abhor my critics. They have nothing better to do. But I do entertain constructive criticisms that are sincere and true.

And, I absolutely dislike writer’s block which is self-explanatory.

However, when Our Good Lord Jesus Christ combine all those together with ideas, thoughts, emotions, melodies, simply put-- pure inspirations from the Holy Spirit. I extremely love the product. An inspired story. Like a parable even. It is as if I just wrote everything He dictated. O.M.G. Wow! As the young people now say. In my case, it is A.M.D.G. Amen.

I am grateful. You know why? When there are some things that do not go my way. When life is too daunting. When the meaning is too profound. I would just like to be still, to be cool, to be calm, and to be collected. And, patiently, oh ever so patiently, wait until He is finished writing His Own Masterpiece. His love story with His creation. Amen.
